
SGM Sabah Branch Chairman, Wong Keng Chew, said: "The festival promises to be a memorable event with dazzling showcases of various cultural performances including traditional dances of the major Sabah ethnic groups, such as Kadazan, Murut, Chinese, Indian and Bajau as well as Malay."
There will also be modern dances and a gymnastics display to reflect the State's energetic youth culture. In addition, a performance by young children will depict the varied fauna and flora of Sabah's marine and land environment.

Tickets priced at RM30, RM50, RM80 and RM100 will also be sold at the Chancellor Hall on both nights. Proceeds will go to schools located in rural areas, to help provide better education materials and facilities as well various other equipment that can help improve learning conditions.

Meanwhile, SGM Sabah Branch visited village folk in Matunggong, Kudat, on Sunday 1st June, to deliver an additional 30 bicycles on top of 20 that were delivered earlier, to children living in interior areas who have to walk long distances (as far as 16km, to and fro) to attend school. The bicycles were donated by Ng Tak Wai, a member of the SGM Sabah Branch, Lahad Datu Chapter.
